@tsukiyama saunt: In Austria you start learning english with 8 years, but realy earnestly with 10. I also think it's too late. IMHO is it very important to know many languages. Expecially because I hadn't could read so many wonderful mangas without knowing english.
BTW: *wants a Cain update!*

because i don't want to be a stranger i'll introduce myself here too heh..
@ Wiggle & tsukiyama saunt : your German is great ... understandable
continent: Europe
country: Germany
town: ~this my little secret~ hint: somewhere near the france heh..
mother tongue: German
partially known languages: English (i would say ok, but not the best), French (not any good)
in Germany they start to teach the kids french in the elementary school's 4th grade
the kids are... don't really know.. how old they are... but old enough ^^*
the only thing i don't like is that the kids can't decide if the want to learn french
or english.. ok.. we live near france.. but that's no reason in my opinion
i had french lessons 7 years, but i never liked it that much
and forgot nearly everything of it
hobbies... um... anime, manga, jrock, webdesign and related stuff, trying to learn japanese some day... translating anime and manga into german from time to time

Hmmm...everyone keeps saying that where they live they started taking a second language really early...here in the U.S. we don't have to take one till high school. (Although some middle schools offer it as an elective) Which is preeettyyy stupid considering you learn stuff like that better when you're younger.
Hmmm...reminds me that we haven't switched to the metric system yet either. XD

We (USA) were supposed to have switched to the metric back in the 70's. Officially we are on it even if nobody uses it lol. Prolly why everyone gets SI beat into their heads during high school. Frankly, SI just makes more sense. Imagine the hell physics would be without it x.x
Anyway, I don't wanna be a stranger either being a n00b and all

And on a completley off topic note, someone sent me this little psychic crystal ball thingy...Psychic Crystal Ball. Thought I'd share it for laughs. ^^

Mmmmm, coming out, good choice of words ;P
Anyway, that crystal ball thing was kinda funny Took like 2 sec to figure out, but entertaining nonetheless
